Once upon a time...

The Story of 🪶Asubaka Studio

When it all started

Eva Derks, the founder, started in 2007 as an unpaid intern on small film shoots in Paris in order to gain on-the-ground skills. At the same time, she seized the opportunity to join the projection team at the National Center for Cinema and Moving Image (C.N.C.).

▶️ Eva was thus able to build a solid experience by pursuing these two activities in both cinema and audiovisual fields.

The creation

Then, in 2012, Eva founded Asubakatchin Productions. She initially offered her help on film projects and gradually equipped herself with video equipment (cameras, sound, lighting, computer, and editing software) in order to monetize her skills as a producer, camera operator, editor, and storyboard artist.

▶️ Little by little, Asubakatchin Productions grew and became a small team of creatives and technicians passionate about Filmmaking.

Asubakatchin Productions expanded its activities and started by producing and creating very diverse audiovisual content, including video recordings of events. All these productions were broadcast on our own web TV channel, called 'Your TV,' which was created on the Dailymotion platform.

The realization

In 2021, after the COVID episode, Asubakatchin Productions became aware of the urgency to change its consumption habits.

From the idea to the implementation, the team agreed on its ecological commitments and decided to leave its Parisian offices and move its headquarters to a forest in the French Pyrenean mountains!

With remote work becoming very common, we now work 'each from home,' or almost. And now, Asubakatchin Productions' offices are entirely off-grid, powered by solar energy ☀️and spring water💧 ! We took the desire for autonomy even further : we have dry toilets, wood heating 🪵, and an agroforestry garden 🌳of over 1000 m2 !

▶️ We have also integrated a remote collaboration process with talented national and international creators.

Always on the lookout for the latest developments in audiovisual technology, especially with the arrival of Artificial Intelligence, Asubakatchin Productions has partnered with American & English companies to benefit from their brand-new, high-performance 3D Animation and Video Creation, VoiceOver and Images Generation Apps.
